I just returned from a trip to Albuquerque. I went out to see my brother who had just came home. He has been away for a few years. I got to see some good friends as well. I lived in New Mexico for about 7 years, so it was good seeing how things have changed since my moving back to LA.

Django (pronounced: 'zhang-go') is a web application framework written in Python. I have read about it for some time but never got the time to start messing with it. I wish I had as it would have made my previous development for some sites much easier. Anyone who knows me will say that I love to preach Python. So when I started learning Django it was a very easy transition. I obviously still have a lot to learn (in Python and Django) but as I continue to learn the framework the more impressed I am with it.

A blog I like to read, Donklephant, had a posting yesterday with some facts I hadn't heard before. The post was based on the cost of the Iraq war and how that money could impact other areas of life around the world. In this case, they used hungry children as the example. Have I mentioned how much I love So. Cal? Everything is a short drive away. Want the beach? We got plenty of em (some nicer than others.) Mountains? Desert? Desert islands with mountains? I saw 300 on opening night (3.09.07) at the IMAX theatre in the Universal City Walk - Hollywood. I was able to score some tickets early as this place was sold out for all showings! I showed up about 45 minutes early to find out that there was already a line of about 70 people waiting to enter the theatre. Great. Luckily, I hurtled my way through the crowd to land perfect seats for me and my wife.
